Three Cheers For India’s Valiant Defence Forces–Prof. P K Sharma

Compliments in gratitude –By Prof. P K Sharma
An eminent English poet Sir Walter Scott’s adage said, “It is only the brave who deserve the fair”
This amply bears testimony to the fact of  evergreen valour of the India’s Defence Forces in its true colours in the wake of May,7 wee hours Air Strikes!
Three cheers for valiant Defence Forces of India for redeeming the honour and dignity of the nation by dint of dashing to the ground the nine terrorist bred havens of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir on May,7 with a lot of precision and diligence. The air strikes were initiated in a very well planned way to avenge the dastardly killings of 26 innocent tourists on April 22 in Baisaran valley of Pahalgam.
No denying the fact that the brave Security Forces of India did make amends for, where the political leadership of the country faltered and found wanting very miserably in for coming to the rescue of these ill-fated tourists on April,22 by not deploying needed security forces leaving fully the ground free and open for the terrorists to come, shoot 26 unfortunate victims with impunity and then after hitting run scot free too.How fine a feat it would have been, had our forces  destroyed the terrorists camps in Pakistan having been offered due an opportunity of saving 26 lives too by making required security arrangements.
Too many lessons can be learnt from two-April 22 and May 7 incidents for the future. Constant vigil, caution and alert all the time on the borders must be adhered to on regular basis, particularly must be maintained at vulnerable and soft spots to avert recurrence of April 22 like attacks.Still complacency and dithering in direction even at this stage can be prone to perils and risks ! Hence staying calm and composed with utmost smartness to be always on our guard is the dire need of the hour without any undue air of bragging finally to win the battle against the spectre of terrorism and insurgency anywhere in India will only imply attaining natural justice in toto.
