Has the Parliament’s Monsoon Session from July 21 not been convened by the National Democratic Alliance regime, not taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi into confidence? Has it been summoned at the instance of Great Britain or Maldives? Has it been called in accordance with the wishes of INDIA bloc opposition and other parties?
Typically, these stinging questions of the current time spring up their heads quite naturally in the larger and best interests of the nation!
Ironically, the opposition did echo its earnest demand repeatedly and very loudly of either convening of an all-party meet or a special session of Parliament in wake of Ceasefire decision coming into effect on May,10 following the OPERATION SINDOOR at the behest of US President Donald Trump as claimed by him twenty four times (as stated by Leader of Opposition in the Upper House and Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge in Rajya Sabha on the opening day of session)but all in vain. The ruling dispensation discarded outrightly its genuine, democratic and justified a demand- what a bizarre adoration of democratic values !
Modi quite obviously at present appears to be non-plussed,evasive,miserably found wanting in transparency, responsibility and accountability in light of reports of his United Kingdom and Maldives four day visit from July 23. “Charity begins at home” is a popular dictum which “We the people of India….” including Modi must bear in mind. Set the nation first in order and motion must be the foremost priority.
Just see the schedule, the Parliament’s Monsoon Session beginning on July 21 and Modi to fly on July 23,why this escape route to face the house, well thought of dereliction and disrespect to Parliament? If his visit was that important, the Parliament Session could have been convoked after July 26, heavens would not have fallen, had it been scheduled a couple of days later?
Why this non-seriousness, insincerity and insensitiveness on part of the PM? His dedication and devotion towards democracy and nation now comes under deep cloud. Why this indifference to Parliament, People, Opposition Parties’ sensitive concerns on PahalgamTerrorist Attack, Trump’s repeated assertion of mediation of Ceasefire, Operation Sindoor,Bihar Special Intensive Revision (SIR)of Electoral Rolls, Flip-Flop Foreign Policy? Do these weigh or matter at all for him but Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with UK and bilateral ties with Maldives do? FTA and bilateral ties will not land India anywhere when it is shocking to find that the Centre and States do not have funds to run Government Schools, Colleges and Universities as Rajasthan Government is likely to recruit 335 Assistant Professors in Government Colleges through a Rajasthan Public Service Commission written test that too on a contract of five years? Should not then we do away with the essential qualifications condition now? After some time news will pour in of paper leakage and then afterwards a pin drop silence and dropping of the curtain on recruitment process.
Similarly, Bulldozer Justice system in the nation too smacks of destructive not constructive mindset, calling in question seriously the need of the entire judicial system, law colleges, universities, and the entire paraphernalia.
While on foreign soil, Modi drum beats strengthening of bilateral ties but at home turf he is a votary of unilateralism believing in concentration of powers in one hand.
Modi’s visit could either have been scheduled before or after the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Why does not he ensure his total presence in the very much significant proceedings of Parliament to muster the views of the treasury and opposition bench MPs to chalk out a foolproof, farsighted strategy and measures to nip the evil of across the border terrorism and insurgency in the bud answering Opposition’s soul-searching questions on Operation Sindoor, Ceasefire and Suspicious and Eye-wash Exercise of Bihar SIR Poll Rolls. Modi should himself face the questions spiritedly to come out with frank answers to allay mist, fog and suspicions miring him on many fronts for quite long a spell. Shakespeare in his popular play “Julius Caesar” remarks, “Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion.”
It becomes quite imperative now to ask, when he has all along been resonating India as a “Mother of Democracy”,why should not then he be a full time active participant in the proceedings of the temple of democracy that is Parliament barring very few avoidable exceptions minimising his visits abroad as far as possible in the best interests of tax payers and India?
A bird’s eyeview of Modi’s eleven year track record at the steering bears testimony to this fact that he has always been found evading truth feeling shy of responding to opposition and media questions by dint of either rhetorically side tracking or keeping mum for long on issues of national and international importance.
Guided always by the “One Way Traffic” and “My Way High Way” complexes he behaves and acts whimsically and unilaterally to score brownie points like “Ek Akela Sabh Pe Bhaari” bragging in Parliament relegating into oblivion his own assertions falling flat on the ground afterwards.
Here it is pertinent to recall his diverting, digressing and at times running away from very grim, sensitive situations and times with megalomaniac an outlook of “Heads I Win Tails You Lose.” Very pompously, he boasted of dashing terrorists bases in Pakistan to the ground thus branding Monsoon Session as “Vijay Utsav” after more than two months but when the question of Trump claiming mediation in Ceasefire decision cropping up time and again, then Union Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is fielded to take Trump head on in the field. Why is he so scared of rebutting Trump’s assertions very boldly?
Very queer to find, he will neither miss any inauguration nor sermonizing an opportunity but he will not hesitate to skip an all-party meeting following both Pahalgam Terror Attack on April 21 and the Ceasefire decision on May 10. He now recently fondly skipped all party meeting on the eve of current Parliament Monsoon Session. Kiren Rijiju Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister asserted that Prime Minister’s presence or answering every question is not essential but his presence at every inaugural ceremony is, very strange a justification indeed! Why is he never seen striving to win and woo opposition parties always treating those as his sworn bitter foes?
Buried under the weight, stress and strain of his too many blemishes and blunders during his eleven year stint in office, now he feels badly desperate, awkward and shy of facing reality, certainly at his wits end to answer a plethora of questions about many walks of life, constrained either to evade or to be dumb founded reflecting on his part utmost frustration, insecurity as well as cowardice. On the floor of Parliament, he was asked what relations he had with Corporate Tycoon Gautam Adani by Rahul Gandhi but he remained tight lipped. The opposition demanded of constituting Joint Parliamentary Committee pertaining to the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s allegations in the US Federal Court in New York which served summons to Adani for alleged $ 265 million pay offs to win lucrative renewable power supply contracts in Adani Indictment Case but Modi coming to rescue of Adani did not accept opposition’s demand out of fear and suspicion of things going out of bounds. The hero Julius Caesar in the play “Julius Caesar” dispels his wife Calpurnia’s fears of certain night marish forebodings in this fashion,
” Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.”
Modi being the Chief Executive Head of India owes answers to populace of the nation and fidelity to the constitution and rule of law. Rijiju said that the proceedings of Parliament will be conducted under rules and in accordance with traditions. Where is the rule and tradition of the Prime Minister flying abroad just two days after the commencement of the session and seen very exceptionally in Parliament?
During this Monsoon Session, he must come out clean setting the record straight on the lapses and failure of Intelligence-Security Forces pertaining to Pahalgam Terror Attack, Operation Sindoor, Ceasefire, alleged fakery and bungling in SIR of Poll Rolls in Bihar.
Then why should not he go in for some sort of penance for his wrong doings, ploys, utopias and poll gimmicks to befool innocent masses most of the time because of his exclusive, unilateral and self-centred outlook all these years frittering away nation’s rich human resources, time and energies on good for nothing acts resulting in futility not taking those decisions to any logical and positive conclusion.
Who will answer the questions in a convincing manner in a democracy if the Prime Minister does not, is the moot question? Why not even a single security person was not deployed in Baisaran valley of Pahalgam during the peak tourist flow season leaving ground open and free for the assailants to hit their targets quite easily and go scot free? Why have the terrorists involved in killing 26 innocent tourists and two locals still at large and not apprehended so far? Why mystery still shrouds even after almost six years around the suicide bomb attacker in Pulwama region in February ,2019 as to how he with heavy explosive in his vehicle reached the spot of the mishap resulting in the killing of 40 CRPF security men unchecked and uninterrupted?
Has black money stashed in foreign banks detected and action initiated against those violating the law of the land in this context?
Has the demonetisation served its very purpose of unearthing black money and fake currency encouraging terrorism and strife in Jammu Kashmir? Why farmers’ three contentious bills were first of all imposed and then withdrawn abruptly after more than a year long farmers’ rigorous agitation on Delhi borders? What was the fun of wasting time and energy on unsuccessfully National Judicial Appointments Commission Bill passed after amending the constitution, faltering to defend it ultimately in the Apex Court? What is the fate of already passed Women Empowerment Bill and status of One Nation One Poll, Uniform Civil Code, NRC, Waqf Board Bill and Caste Census etc.?
How to overcome spectre of record unemployment, mounting poverty and inequality in the nation? How to raise the standards of living of the citizens and happiness index of the nation? Are affordable quality education and health care system available to all alike? Why did not Modi deal with Manipur Mayhem for very long a period till date quite compassionately where opposition had to bring in no confidence motion in Parliament to seek his statement on Manipur? Did he ever take seriously and ponder over the frequent air crashes whether in Ahmedabad, Uttarakhand, routine emergency landing of Air India aeroplanes, deaths of innocent persons in bridge collapses in Bihar and Gujarat and paper leakage of various examinations off and on in India?
Aforementioned sensitive and burning issues must be addressed and redressed on top most priority basis if the nation wishes to be a force to reckon within in all the four directions north, east, west, south of the globe.
It is very right and ripe time for deep soul– searching and introspection for three Ns-Narendra,Nara and Nitish. The trio of coalition partners must think of “nation above everything” spirit before it is too late.
If nation perishes then their insatiable lust for sustaining in power will vanish in the air. What, how and where wishes of Developed India by 2047, Amaravati Ambitious Dream Project and Special Bihar status will stand for? Has this trio ever sat together to ponder over these vexed issues and grievances staring the more than 140 Crore citizens of India, what to talk of deliberating the same with the opposition parties, the President and Vice-President of India?
At this critical juncture, the inclusive approach of collective wisdom, consensus, optimum utilisation of demographic dividend, available rich expertise in all streams of life is the dire need of the hour, will Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar two crutches of Narendra Modi bear this in mind or continue extending their support blindly and endlessly to this minority regime at centre just to pursue their narrow vested regional, state level interests at the altar of nation’s progress, prosperity, wellbeing, advancement, integrity and sovereignty?
The mid-term unceremonious easing out of Mr Jagdeep Dhankhar from the very constitutional post of Vice-President must sound a timely note of caution thus ringing alarming bells for them and their political existence too !

Sir,
You have called a spade a spade in your blog.
You have minced no words Prof Sharma ji.
In fact politicians ought too be made accountable.
Indian politics has been seeing a trend where not only PM but CMs of States to avoid to face Media directly. Majority power politics has muzzled institutions of Assembly and Parliament both.
