4 Punjab Air Squadron NCC Ludhiana’s Transformative Self-Discovery Institutional Training Camp For NCC cadets at NCC Academy, Ropar

The 4 Punjab Air Squadron NCC Ludhiana proudly commenced the Combined Annual Training Camp-60 cum Pre Vayu Sainik Camp-1 from 02-11 August 2025 at the prestigious NCC Academy, Ropar.  Sharing details a very passionate hardworking  Gp Capt BS Gill of CO 4 PB Air Sqn NCC Ludhiana informed :

This transformative 10 day camp brings together 558 Senior Division, Senior Wing ,Junior Division and Junior Wing Cadets of both Local colleges ie SCD college, Arya college, GNE college and Various schools as well as Air wing cadets of other NCC Groups of the PHHP&C DTE, supported by 8 Officers, 5 JCOs, 30 NCOs, 1 Girl Cadet Instructor, 7 Associate NCC Officers, 2 Caretaker Officers, and 20 civilian staff, fostering an environment of discipline, leadership, and nation-building.

The camp serves as the pinnacle of Institutional Training for NCC cadets, offering a unique platform to forge character, resilience, and leadership qualities. Through a rigorous schedule of activities, including Morning PT, Drill Practice, Firing, Skeet Shooting, Aeromodelling, Drone Operation, Specialist and Common Subject Classes, Sports Competitions, and Cultural Practices, cadets are immersed in an environment that nurtures adaptability, tolerance, and mutual respect. These activities are designed to challenge cadets, encouraging them to view challenges as opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

For many, the camp is a humbling experience, particularly for cadets from affluent backgrounds who gain a deeper appreciation for the privileges they enjoy at home. The shared experiences in the camp foster camaraderie and unity, breaking down barriers and instilling values of empathy and teamwork. The camp culminates each day with the NRC (Night Routine Check), reinforcing discipline and accountability.

The NCC’s training camps are more than just skill-building exercises; they are a benchmark in shaping the youth into potential leaders and responsible citizens. By engaging in a holistic program that blends physical training, intellectual growth, and cultural expression, cadets emerge as confident individuals ready to contribute to the nation’s progress.

“This camp is a transformative journey where cadets not only hone their skills but also discover their inner strength and commitment to serving the nation,” said Group Captain BS Gill, the Camp Commandant. “The NCC continues to set a gold standard in character-building and leadership development, preparing our youth to lead with integrity and purpose.”

 NCC as the largest youth organization invites the community to celebrate the spirit of unity, discipline, and patriotism embodied by these young cadets as they take significant steps toward becoming the future leaders.
