FARMERS’ AGITATION : SPORTSPERSONS’ CARAVAN ON ITS WAY TO RASHTARPATI BHAWAN, NEW DELHI FOR RETURNING THEIR AWARDS & MEDALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA
In support of farmers agitation, the eminent decorated Sportsperson are joing the caravan on its way to Rastarpati Bhawan, New Delhi for returning their Awards & Medals to President Of India .
The Indian farmers are protesting against GOI’s farm ordinances.
In this convoy of sportspersons are included Padma Shri & Arjuna Award winning wrestler Kartar Singh, Padma Shri Boxer Kaur Singh, Arjuna Award winning hockey player Rajbir Kaur, Arjuna Award winning boxer Jaipal Singh, Arjuna Award winning Kabaddi player Hardeep Singh, Arjuna Award winning weightlifter Tara Singh. Hockey Olympians Gurmel Singh and Pargat Singh also join.
Kartar Singh with his GURAJ which he won in wrestling while other players too will return all their medals.This speaks volume of discontnt .
Padam Shri Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, a known environmentalist of Punjab who commands considerable respect is also supporting the sportsperson in their decision .
