KUDOS PUNJAB POLICE –BUSTING A CROSS BORDER SMUGGLING MODULE OF NARCOTICS & WEAPONS SUPPLY VIA DRONES
Even as Punjabis in lacs are camping and surrounding New Delhi in protests and asking GOI to repeal 3 recently passed Farm Bills which they oppose, back home they may be assured that Punjab Police is taking all care to ensure that it breaks the supply chain of smugglers of Narcotics & Weapons from Pakistan Border and Punjab villages are not frequented by Drug -Mafia ,Peddlers and other criminals to mislead our youth .
A vigilant Amritsar (Rural) police arrest the persons involved in the cross border smuggling from Pakistan and also seize one Quadcopter Drone with a full Supporter stand and one SkyDroid T10 2.4GHz 10CH FHSS Transmitter, along with mini Receiver and camera support along with one .32 bore Revolver and 1 Scorpio car HR-35M-3709, as well as some live cartridges and drugs. This is a great feat of Punjab Police under the command of DGP Punjab Dinkar Gupta.
According to the DGP Punjab, the arrested persons had established an extensive communication network with foreign smugglers and entities, and was in close and frequent contact with a notorious Pakistan based smuggler namely Chishti who is also in touch with Pakistan based Khalistani operatives, and has been responsible for smuggling of significant cross–border consignments into India from Pakistan in the past.
Surprisingly, these accused were in touch with a person already in Amritsar Jail who motivated the arrested accused for buying a drone from a Delhi firm for cross border smuggling.
With such criminal operatives ,It becomes imperative for all of us in Punjab, particularly those residing in border area with Pakistan that we keep an eagle eye on black sheep amongst our own people who are bent upon destroying our youth through drugs and also lookout for formenting communal trouble in the State.
We should appreciate and support Punjab Police in their efforts in nabbing smugglers of Narcotics and Arms for peace and prosperity of Punjab .
