Global Goal For QUALITY EDUCATION
This global goal of QUALITY EDUCATION in question indeed is the master key to all-round progress, prosperity and advancement in every nook and corner of the world. Life on earth without education is an exercise groping in the dark and futility !
The words quality and education are in fact the two sides of the same coin striving for excellence all the time. It was Aristotle who brought home this idea very beautifully penning down these thought-provoking words,
” The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet.”
Since times immemorial, the concept of quality education has been the focus of attention in all the four directions- north, south, east and west of the globe. That is why the theme at hand now too deserves parleys and deliberations of the highest order to meet the desired results at the fastest pace possible?
Is it not the right time for all of us to dig out what, why, who, where and how of Quality Education quite deeply and objectively for sustainable global development?
Before musing over all the Ws and H of global goal four it is imperative to analyze and understand the word EDUCATION in letter and spirit. All the alphabets here signify very deep and sublime connotations.
Let us peruse every letter one by one.

C ……. symbolizes CONFIDENCE
A ……. . connotes ALTER
T …….. . signals TRAINING

WHAT IS QUALITY EDUCATION?
William Butler Yeats while ruminating over quality education defined it in these subtle words,
“Education is not the filling of a pail, but rather the lighting of a fire.”
WHY QUALITY EDUCATION?
Because it offers anyone rich treasures of greater knowledge; deep understanding of any subject; evolution; growth; steadfastness; conviction; improvement; up skill; creativity; outlook; unlimited power as well as influence and thoughts.
WHO FACTORS IN QUALITY EDUCATION ?
There are a large number of factors which combined together can prove to be
instrumental in realizing this “dream mission of quality education”. These include first and foremost learners, then teachers, trainers ,resource persons and temples of learning.
“Learning” is an evergreen and everlasting process. Anyone who is keen to learn can learn even up to one’s last breath. A kid, a grown up, an old fellow, rich or poor, high or low all can pursue learning activity with out any taboo rendering yeoman’s service in the boundless realm of quality education!
WHERE …….. QUALITY EDUCATION?
There is nothing hard and fast so far as place of quality education is concerned. Any place anywhere on this planet earth can deliver the goods in this context. Only pertinent condition is that the aspirant learner should have never ending urge to grasp may it be in London, Nalanda, Shanti Niketan, United States Of America, Kodaikanal, Panjab University, Oxford University or Banaras Hindu University.
HOW ……….. QUALITY EDUCATION?
There is neither any barrier nor any “limitation of time” to attain quality education. Morning or evening, day or night, rain or sunshine it knows no bounds. With sheer dedication, devotion and passion it can be accomplished at any time. For ensuring it through out the world we shall have to involve enlightened teachers and trainers without compromising with their calibre and talent.
The commercialization of education in many parts of the world is proving to be a big stumbling block very adversely affecting the cause of quality education. Arresting this malady must be our “watchword.” Innovative measures and periodical review of education can also go a long way in enabling us to translate this goal into actuality promptly. The students’ motivation, their participation, easy and affordable access to education can richly contribute towards this long cherished target !
‘H’ AND ‘W’ OF TINY TOTS’ EDUCATION?
Margaret Mead drew a remarkable comparison between H and W of tiny tots’ education in this fashion, ” Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.”
Quality Education thus sans any doubt can work wonders in all walks of life globally if sincere and concerted efforts are applied in this direction everywhere in the world.William Blake foresaw the supreme power of quality education when he remarked,
” A fool sees not the same tree that a wise man sees.”
