The Kumbh Mela of Pryagraj : A Great Lesson For Future- Remaining Relevant In The Age Of Irrelevant –By Dr Puran Singh
We all know that Alian Intelligence is going to surpass human intelligence in every aspect of life, once we reach The Point of Singularity.
Most of the evolution of human history shows that man’s almost all the labor was spent on production and making avalable our food. This was a very, very long spell of human history. This type of phenomenon was prevalent until the agricultural revolution ( 10,000 BC)and shifting of man from forest dwellings to village dwellings. At this stage, a small amount of money was shifted from food to cloth and house.
At present, a small amount of our labor income goes to food, and most of the income is shifting to not only clothes and houses but to other luxurious goods. Artificial intelligence is not only making all these goods in abundance, but also at a cheap rate. A very nominal income will do all these things.
But, this new technology will also create unemployment. It will further lead to two problems. Firstly is how to survive without work. We know that work is not an end in itself, but a means to end. For the survival of the survival of the corporate sector and economy at a large level, the Minimum Basic Income would be provided to everyone. This income would be sufficient for meeting not only basic necessaries but also luxuries. The second goal of work is to give purpose and meaning of life.
Now the question arises if there is no work, then how to give purpose and meaning of life?. It would raise the problem of irrelevance. Now, the major issue would be how to be relevant in the age of irrelevance? Or putting it another way on how to transform the problem irrelevance into the opportunity of relevance? I don’t think there would be any anxiety, if you have a sufficient income through the system of MINIMUM BASIC INCOME. We can learn a lot from our ancestors, our cultures, our religions, and religious practices.
Learnings from various entities to become relevant in the age of irrelevance:
First, our forest dwellers used to work for three to four hours a day to meet their food requirements by hunting and gathering, and the remaining time they were involved in playing games and other pleasure activities.
Second, we can develop a passion for creative activities. There is no end of ideas.
Third, read books. There would be no shortage of books. Books and knowledge is increasing at exponential rate. You can also write a good book too.
Fourth, Guru Nanak Dev Ji’ journeys also teach us a lot. You can start traveling on the routes where Guru Nanak Dev ji has enlightened the world. In the whole of life, you can not travel the whole of earth. But, suppose you have very advanced means of transportation and you would have completed the whole journey of earth. Don’t worry, soon journey to Mars will also start.
Fifth, the Kumbh Mela has also taught a great lesson to the whole of the world. It shows that you can fulfill your two objectives of life in this life and life in heaven. The Kumbh Mela at Pryagraj is a great lesson for European people who are living depressed life. They can visit India and see beautiful Temples of South India. They will feel serenity of life.
