Humanity bleeds
They lay there
with bullets riddled ,
on the sprawling Baisaran meadow ,
tucked away in the backdrop
of tall towering pine trees ,
with their branches wailing and shrieking,
with ear – deafening noise of gun fire ,
mourning the mindless killings ,
in the name of religion ,
woven with the fabric of delusions galore,
promising rich rewards ,
in the heavens so – called,
goading perpetrators ,
puffed up with the venom of hatred ,
to snuff out the flame of life ,
without a prick of conscience ,
swirling their fire arms
as if they had won a holy war ,
a belief drilled into the caverns of the mind ,
a block hard – a fossil crystalline ,
packed with the dead remains of a belief ,
with the substance shriveled up ,
in the withered waste of a desert ,
with no promise of an oasis ,
where human history repeats itself ,
with pages smeared and tainted in human blood and tears of innocents,.
flowing in the Lither river ,
in the valley of Pahalgam ,
the crown of Kashmir ,
much prided upon
with its picturesque scenic spots
